GCSE Maths Papers 2 & 3: what to revise after Paper 1

After the non-calculator paper, use these free PDF checklists to focus revision for calculator papers on AQA, Edexcel and OCR. For OCR, lists are for Papers 2 & 3 (Foundation) and Papers 5 & 6 (Higher): Paper 2 and Paper 5 are non-calculator; Paper 3 and Paper 6 are calculator. Edexcel and AQA lists follow Paper 1 (non-calculator), then Papers 2 and 3 (calculator).

Revision planning only. These PDFs are from The Maths Vault, not AQA, Edexcel or OCR. Lists are a guide — topics from the non-calculator paper can still appear on later papers. For each board we compared the full specification with topics on the non-calculator paper (OCR: Paper 2 or Paper 5), then listed what was not covered for Papers 2/3 and 5/6.

Frequently asked questions

What is in these GCSE Papers 2 and 3 revision PDFs?

Each PDF lists specification topics that did not appear on your board's June 2026 non-calculator paper (Paper 1 for Edexcel and AQA; Paper 2 or Paper 5 for OCR), grouped by area of maths. OCR lists are for Papers 2 & 3 (Foundation) and Papers 5 & 6 (Higher), with Paper 3 and Paper 6 as the calculator papers. Where heatmap data is available, topics are ordered with a revision-focus guide from past calculator papers.

Which exam boards are covered?

You can download separate lists for AQA (8300), Pearson Edexcel (1MA1) and OCR (J560), each in Foundation only, Higher only, or both tiers in one file.

How were these lists put together?

For AQA, Edexcel and OCR we used the same approach: start from the full GCSE specification for that board, note which topics appeared on the non-calculator paper (Paper 1 for Edexcel and AQA; Paper 2 or Paper 5 for OCR), then list everything in the spec that did not feature on that paper.

Will topics from Paper 1 come up again on Papers 2 or 3?

Yes — exam boards can repeat topics across papers. These lists show what was not emphasised on the non-calculator paper so you can plan calculator-paper revision; they are not a guarantee of what will or will not appear next.

Are these official exam board resources?

No. They are free practice material from The Maths Vault for revision planning. Always follow advice from your maths teacher and use official past papers alongside any checklist.
