Ask for a card

Which rank would you like to ask for?

How to Play Go Fish

Objective

Collect the most "books" (sets of 4 cards of the same rank) to win the game.

Setup

  • Each player is dealt 7 cards (or 5 cards with more players)
  • Remaining cards form the "stock" pile

On Your Turn

  1. Click on a card in your hand to ask the opponent for that rank
  2. You must have at least one card of the rank you're asking for
  3. If the opponent has any cards of that rank, they must give you ALL of them
  4. If they don't have any, they say "Go Fish!" and you draw from the stock
  5. When you collect 4 cards of the same rank, they automatically form a "book"

Winning

The game ends when all books are made. The player with the most books wins!

Strategy Tips

  • Remember which cards the opponent asks for—they have at least one!
  • Try to complete books quickly to reduce your hand size
  • Keep track of which ranks have been collected
