Games Vault privacy
Games Vault is the games site at gamesvault.uk, including the Games Vault iOS app that loads this site. This page describes that product. The wider Maths Vault teacher site has its own privacy policy for subscriptions, classrooms, and worksheets.
Accounts
You can play as a guest. A guest account is not created, and guest progress stays in this browser until you clear it.
If you create an account, we store a username, a display name, an email address, a password hash, and an avatar on our server. We do not ask for a school name, a school year, or a date of birth. Before the account is created you confirm that you are 13 or over.
While you are signed in we can store scores, streaks, badges, friends, and multiplayer results for that account. There is no player-to-player chat.
Deletion
Open Profile and choose Delete account. That removes the email address, display name, streaks, badges, friends, and saved gameplay for that Games Vault account, and signs you out. We may keep a short security log of the deletion (the time and IP address) without the email address or display name.
Other data
Game pages use first-party analytics on our own server to see which pages are used. To opt out, email admin@mathsvault.uk.
Some pages load the Font Awesome icon kit from Font Awesome’s servers. Font Awesome may receive technical data such as your IP address.
Pop Trumps book and film cards can open Amazon when you tap a link. Amazon may then receive the technical data a normal visit involves. Those links are for physical books and films. A purchase does not unlock anything in the game. Where an Amazon Associates tag is used, the page says so.
The session cookie mathsvault_session keeps you signed in. It is an essential cookie.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while the account is active. Deletion, started in Profile, removes the personal data described above. Guest data in the browser stays until you clear site data.
