Connect 4

Objective

Be the first to get four of your counters in a row — horizontally, vertically or diagonally — on the 7 × 6 grid.

How a turn works

• Red always drops first.
• Choose a column. Your counter slides down to the lowest empty slot.
• If a column is full, you cannot drop there.
• The first player to complete a line of four wins. If the grid fills with no line, the game is a draw.

Online play

• Choose Play Online, then host a room or join with a game code.
• The host is Red and drops first; the joining player is Yellow.
• Only legal drops are accepted — the server checks every move.
• If someone leaves mid-game, the remaining player wins. After a match you can play again if both stay in the room.

Tips

• The centre column is often the strongest opening.
• Watch for threats — if the other colour has three in a row with a gap, block it.
• On a keyboard, press 1–7 to drop in that column.
