How to play
Objective
The board is a grid of lights. Some start on (glowing gold), some start off (dark). Press cells until every light is off.
Rules
Pressing a cell toggles that cell and its orthogonal neighbours — up, down, left and right. Corners have fewer neighbours. Diagonals are not affected.
On becomes off, and off becomes on.
Order does not matter: pressing the same cell twice cancels itself.
Every practice and daily board is generated so it can be solved. You cannot be given an impossible puzzle.
Chase lights
A useful method: work from the top. If a light in a row is on, press the cell directly below it. That “chases” the light down the board. Settings can highlight the next chase press for you. The Hint button instead presses one cell from a correct remaining solution.
Controls
Tap or click a cell to press it.
Hint — presses one correct remaining cell.
Undo — take back the last press.
Arrow keys move the cursor. Space or Enter presses the highlighted cell. H hints, U undoes.
Difficulty
Easy: 5×5 — the classic Lights Out size.
Classic: 6×6
Hard: 7×7
