Queens

Objective

Place one queen in every row, every column, and every coloured region. No two queens may touch, including diagonally — a queen blocks all eight neighbouring squares.

Controls

• First tap — mark a square with × (it cannot hold a queen).
• Second tap — place a queen, if the square is legal.
• Third tap — clear the square and keep solving.
• Hint — place one queen from the unique solution.
• Undo / Restart — step back, or wipe your marks on this court.

How to think

• Start with the smallest colour — it usually has the fewest legal squares.
• A placed queen rules out its row, column, colour, and all eight neighbours.
• Every court has a unique solution. If you feel stuck, a mark is wrong, not the puzzle.

• Easy: 6×6
• Medium: 7×7
• Hard: 8×8
• Ultra: 9×9

Daily challenge

Everyone receives the same seeded 8×8 court. It resets at midnight UK. The first win of the day counts for the league and your streak.
