Maths Vault (also written The Maths Vault) is an online platform for UK secondary mathematics. Teachers use it to generate classroom resources and present live lessons. Students use free step-by-step calculators and daily retrieval practice with no account. The site covers Key Stage 3 and GCSE (Key Stage 4), mapped to White Rose small steps for Years 7–11 and to methods used on AQA, Edexcel and OCR papers.
It is not an exam board. It does not set, mark or certificate GCSEs. It is not White Rose Education: “aligned” means the platform maps to White Rose’s published small steps, not that White Rose owns or operates Maths Vault. Primary Maths Vault is a separate public landing for Nursery–Year 6.

Founder
Maths Vault was founded by Jon Glover, a qualified mathematics teacher (BEd Hons; DipHE Maths Education), a current Edexcel examiner, and the author of Heroes (Or, How To Help Your Kids Rock At Maths).

Who it is for
- Teachers of secondary mathematics in the UK (Years 7–11), including departments that follow White Rose schemes of learning.

- Not a replacement for a teacher, an awarding organisation, or official past papers from AQA, Pearson Edexcel or OCR.
What the product does
Public student tools — calculators, Keystones, selected quizzes and the blog — need no login. Teacher generation, saving, school branding and Vault Viewer authoring need an account. Vault Viewer is a slide-based lesson presenter that can embed live Maths Vault resources. A sample lesson is public. Creating or saving presentations requires sign-in.
Exam boards and key stages
Student walkthroughs use UK classroom methods used on AQA, Edexcel and OCR GCSE Mathematics papers (for example y = mx + c, SOH CAH TOA). Other UK boards may be taught with the same methods; the platform does not claim to be an official partner of any board.
